MEET THE TEAM

Ria Banerjee is a serial entrepreneur and business executive. She established WTG Cleantech’s parent company, We Think Global, Inc. in the year 2000. WTG, under Ria’s leadership, has commercialized innovative products in healthcare, IT, analytics, and sustainable technologies. WTG Cleantech is focused on commercializing innovative technologies in the water, environment, and renewable energy sectors.

Ria has worked at McDonnell Douglas, where she was the project lead for the orbiter mechanism development for the International Space Station at NASA.

Ria is a graduate of the University of California’s School of Engineering and Applied Science with a BSE in Computer Engineering and has an MBA from the Wharton School.

Richard Polanco is a former California State Senate Majority Leader and member of the California Assembly. He served sixteen years in the legislature with the last four years as Senate Majority Leader. He authored legislation that made a positive impact on important items such as The California Voting Rights Act; Cesar Chavez State Holiday; California Arts License Plate; One-Stop Certification of Small, Minority, and Women-Owned Business; enabling the Department of Homeland Security to contract with AIDS and HIV care providers for primary case management care; pass a congregate living facilities regulation; and much work in the legislating regulations for renewable energy and water sustainability.

Ashok is the founder of Waterneer Technologies. Waterneer serves as the key technology partner to WTG Cleantech in the United States. Ashok has invented and created several innovative water reuse technologies and managed the patent processes in both the United States and India.

Ashok is a senior business executive with over 35 years of management experience in diverse industries. He is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, where he attained a B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering. He also holds an Executive Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management.
